RdB Real Estate is an investment company established in the mid-1980s. The founder, Rolf de Boer, is still the chief executive and sole shareholder today.

In line with the developments in the property sector, in the early years only new buildings were built, mainly company buildings to let. With the fall of the wall between East and West Germany, most of our activities were transferred to Germany, and in the 1990s in particular we invested heavily in Berlin, a still growing and very interesting capital city.

Our head office is located in Essen in a modern office building with adjacent material storage and workshop. Both in Berlin and in Koekange in the Netherlands, staff are available on site to assist tenants with any questions or concerns.

As a property company, we attach great importance to sustainability and innovation. What does that mean in concrete terms? We use innovation and digitalisation to be able to act efficiently and sustainably.

Sustainability: In our activities - both internally and externally - we are guided by current EU climate protection regulations and our internal ESG guidelines. We regularly carry out energy modernisation measures to minimise energy consumption and reduce CO2 emissions and to offer our tenants affordable housing in the long term.

Innovation: We are increasingly investing in digitalisation to simplify internal processes and communication with our customers and to increase efficiency. Digital mail processing, a tenant app, virtual property inspections and BIM models are just a few of the current projects we are working on.
